Shiatsu Therapy

Shiatsu is a physical therapy which uses a combination of pressure points, gentle manipulation and stretching to re-energise weak areas and reduce tension in the body. By applying sensitive, mindful, static touch with thumbs, fingers and palms, the Shiatsu giver affects the functioning of physical systems such as nervous, circulatory and respiratory, thus supporting the body’s innate self-healing abilities and promoting a sense of relaxation and wellbeing.

Shin Tai Shiatsu

Shin Tai means 'source’ or ‘light’ body. Shiatsu Shin Tai is a deeply restorative bodywork that works to activate the origins of our physical and subtle body. A range of Shiatsu and bodywork techniques are used to address stress patterns and structural misalignments in the whole body. It is a deeply relaxing experience which over time can have profound effects on how we feel and align within ourselves and within the world around us. Receiving bodywork such as Shiatsu Shin Tai helps to free the body and mind of restrictive stress patterns by restoring motion in the system, which in turn allows us to feel more at ease and restful within the world and to live a more authentic life.

“Rachel is the most attentive and attuned practitioner you could hope for! She has cared for me and my baby through pregnancy and now during early motherhood too and I'm truly grateful! I recommend her to every expectant mum I come across for both yoga and Shiatsu”
